Citing Your Sources
The final step in the research process is citing your sources. Giving proper documentation to authors whose work you use in your research is essential. Using another writers words or ideas without proper documentation is plagiarism and is a violation of the GPC Academic Honesty Policy

Style Guides
There are several citation styles that are used in academic writing and publishing. The style used for a particular paper will depend on the subject area in which you're writing. Check with your instructor to see which citation style is required for your assignment.
